Electrohydraulic castings refinement from cores and remains
of a sand blend

- What realizes

Сore and remains of sand blends knockout out of thin- и thick-walled steel, cast-iron, aluminium, titanic and other castings weighing from dozens grams to hundreds tons (including precision molding) irrespective of their complexity in conditions of job-work, serial, mass serial production and repetition work.

- Technology essence

The technology is based on the use of high-voltage discharge, which arises between a special electrode and a moulding in the liquid. As a result, pressure waves of high intensity and hydroflows influencing upon the moulding body and core sand mixture and causing demolition and removal of the last develop and spread in the liquid.

  • productivity jump in 2-4 times (up to 18 t/h);
  • cost and power intensity saving at providing with high-quality sores removing even from the most compound castings;
  • fundamental improvement of conditions of work and ecological situation at the chipping area;
  • hard manual labour mechanization;
  • exclusion of conditions promoting the rise of occupational diseases (Raynaud's phenomenon, silicosis etc.).

  • removal of core sand mixtures and sand blends of practically any strength;
  • exclusion of the operation of castings aftertreatment;
  • decrease of residual stresses in castings without thermal treatment;
  • castings dimensions stabilization;
  • decrease of occupied production spaces in 2...2,5 times.
