Institute of pulse processes and technologies (IPPT) at National Academy of Sciences (NAS) - is the institution that specializes in studies of physical & engineering aspects of a high-voltage discharge in condensed media, and creation of high-performance environmentally appropriate resource- and energy-saving pulse technologies on its basis. IPPT at NAS of Ukraine works in accordance with the following main scientific courses: The priorities of basic and applied research development in the IPPT within the next few years are the following: Today IPPT is the research-and-production complex, consisting of the Institute itself, the Experimental production, the Pilot plant, and scientific and technological centre "VEGA". Principal scientific achievements of the Institute scientists during the year 2004 Scientific works of the IPPT at NAS of Ukraine Together with the National ship-building University, on the basis of the IPPT at NAS of Ukraine the chair «Pulse processes and technologies» was created. It trains bachelors, specialists and masters of the speciality «High-voltage technique and electrophysics». The research laboratory dealing with the investigation of materials performance at vibropulse influence was created together with Nikolaev State University. Unique electrohydraulic technologies and equipment created in IPPT, are successfully exploited at the enterprises of CIS, Japan, Sweden, Spain, Rumania, China, Hungary, India, Slovakia and other countries.
